We were shocked to find out that one school district was racking up a $9,000 bill over a water meter that was only running for 3 days. That’s when the wheels started turning to find a Cool Solution for water pipes bursting and customers being notified instantly. 

This idea began when a School Nutrition Director in Georgia shared a serious safety concern: staff members were occasionally getting locked inside a walk-in freezer, with no way to alert anyone on the outside. In this particular kitchen, the freezer was located through the cooler, making it even more isolated.

To solve this, we developed the Emergency Sensor Alert Button — a simple, highly visible push-button that instantly notifies staff when someone is trapped inside. It’s a smart, practical layer of protection for any facility.

This project started after a conversation with a local resource officer at a high school dealing with frequent smoking in bathrooms. With our Air Quality and Smoke Sensor, staff can receive instant alerts with pinpoint accuracy—identifying exactly which bathroom the activity is happening in. The sensor also provides continuous air quality monitoring, adding another layer of protection for the facility.
